Meet Fenway. This is Fenway just a few months before Joss was born. He was pretty much glued to my side the entire pregnancy. I zigged he zigged, I zagged he zagged. He’s as faithful as they come. I’ve often compared him to a cat, an 80ish pound cat, but a cat none-the-less. Fast forward a few years and add another kiddo to the mix and you have the current state of our home, chaos.
Fenway is still extremely loyal and you couldn’t ask for a better temperament for the kids. I’ve heard the word “horsy” come out of Joss’s mouth more time’s than I’d like to admit. Each time he silently waits for her to move on to the next thing, we all know that will take 15 seconds. But I often wonder, does he secretly judge us as we Snap Chat the latest filter of the silly dog while we aren’t paying attention?
And what does he do all day? Other than drool on my windows. For a short time we had a video camera in the house. We captured a lot of barking at delivery trucks and sun naps. It does look quite relaxing, I wouldn’t mind trading jobs for a week … or two.
Breakfast is an important time of day for our family. For us it’s a time to re-connect and say good morning. For Joss Cheerios is her meal of choice. You do NOT get between this child and her O’s. We had not been brave enough to try anything else until recently. Trix are a new favorite in our house. I’m not sure that the Cheerios will recover … Fenway is hopeful.
He waits for the kids to miss their mouths and food to hit the floor! He will patiently wait as long as it takes and then come in for clean up. He doesn’t usually have to wait long the kids don’t have very good aim. Dogs are the best!
To date Joss had only been to one movie so we were really psyching her up about going to see The Secret Life of Pets aka “Pet movie”. Okay, truth? We mentioned it once and then had to answer 5,000 questions about exactly when we were going every time we got into the car for 4 days before we actually saw the movie. Lesson learned on that one, the kid was excited. The morning of the movie after she finished two bowls of Trix I presented her with the Pet House to paint. Along with the 6 pet characters key chairs, aka her best friends, from the movie. You can collect all 6 of these cuties in participating General Mills Big G Cereal Boxes throughout the month of July and create your own PET house, while supplies last. She lined them up so they could inspect her handy work. They seem pleased, don’t they?
Then it was off to the movie, best friends in tow. I loved this movie. We ALL loved this movie, even Paxton! The comedy Superstar cast was awesome. I love the character that Kevin Hart played, I seriously couldn’t stop laughing every time I heard his voice. The storyline was thrilling and unexpected. These pets are very adventurous! I definitely recommend this one for the entire family. Make sure and get out to see it before school gets back in session.
Make sure to check out Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund showing off his stuff at The Secret Life of Pets “Green Carpet”. Yeah, Joss made me watch this no less than 10 times. So cute!

You need to! I recommend a morning movie. Theaters are less crowded and kiddos can focus more, plus Popcorn!

We saw the movie one night while at the beach! Funny things that pets do (when no one is looking)! Can’t imagine Fenway doing much while your house is void of people (big or little ones), except catching up on his zzzz’s! He’s such a special friend and guardian pup for your house and all who live within! Joss and Paxton already have the best dog ever, for an introduction to a furry. patient, and calm best friend! Love Fenway for being such a protector of “4 of my kids!” He’s a wonderful granddog and Millie could learn a lot from him…mostly the calm! ??
