Have you noticed that Matt and I love a great find? We find a lot of great things on Craigslist but better yet we love our local Habitat for Humanity ReStore. If you aren’t sure if you have one in your area check your local listing. We have found so many incredible pieces there! More recently it has been hit or miss when we visit but we still go on a regular basis.
Do you remember the cute little white cart from my craft room that I use for fabric storage? It started out screaming 70’s and with a quick coat of antique white paint it was perfect for my room.
Then there were the two brass chandeliers we picked up when they were having a BOGO on all brass light fixtures! All we needed was some patience, spray paint, and a husband with NO fear of heights! Not bad for $ 35.00!
And let’s not forget the cabinet door I picked up and turned into this awesome wall art.
One of my favorites hands down was the little red chair I turned in to a Pottery Barn Inspired Number Chair, ahh the power of paint!
On some of our most recent trips we have picked up some great finds! Here’s a little sneak peek of what we found!
Isn’t this light cool? Matt grabbed this one up, can’t wait to see what he does with it!
Yup that is a Rust-Oleum Cabinet Transformation kit … never used in LINEN (eeee) for $ 20.00 I grabbed that up so fast your head would spin!
Free standing ORANGE toilet paper holder? Don’t mind if I do. I do have plans for this and it does not involve toilet tissue!
Last but certainly not least this incredible Caged Glass light fixture. I have no clue if it works and was a little bummed out that it has some broken glass but how in the world could I pass this up! I have come up with 10 different scenarios for what to do with this light but am still working up the courage to do one of them!
Have you ever been to a ReStore? If not you should really take a few hours and check one out. One of our favorites is in Atlanta – Wow is that place awesome! Happy Hunting!

Great finds! Which one in Atlanta is your favorite? I live outside of Atlanta and the one near us (In Conyers) is VERY small. I have found a few things – windows, doors, but nothing like what you show. And the front of the store doesn’t even have the updated logo/etc. that all the stores have now.
Would love to stop in that one in Atlanta one day 🙂

Hey Christina! The ReStore in ATL I visited was downtown (http://www.atlantahabitat.org/restore-location-hours) I am still amazed at the amount of items they have in there. If you get a chance head down there one Saturday morning. I did notice lots of signs that suggested not keeping things out in the open in your vehicle so keep that in mind. None the less an awesome store!

Can’t wait to see what you guys do with them!

Thanks Ashley! We have been so lucky so far with our lighting we have found there. Sometimes I walk right past them and on my way out will spot them. Thankfully Matt is a good sport and lets me stock up on lighting 🙂

I really like our ReStore here in Bowling Green, KY. Can’t imagine all the treasures one might find in a big city like Atlanta! 🙂
