What is a Honey-Do list?
For me my Honey-Do list used to be my passive aggressive way of getting Matt to help me get some last minute cleaning things done around the house before company came into town.
(I have since learned all I have to do is ASK he is always more than happy to help! hehe)
Seriously it was a big list I would throw up on a dry erase board
and PRAY that Matt offered to help with some of the items.
Thankfully he is a very observant & helpful husband and always offered to take items off the list. Such as clean the guest bath toilet & vacuum,
maybe even- Wash the Dog!
In the Spring of 2009 Matt & I got married …
We were considering putting our house on the market, and knew it needed some TLC.
I purchased the house new in 2000 and being a single female had not really kept up with all the fun parts of home ownership like caulking the windows!
And over night the honey-do list went from cleaning the house to small things like
Tile the Master Bath, Add Trim to mirrors, Re-model guest bath.
You can see where I am going here right?
The List went on and on basically we were doing things to increase maintain the value of our home!
Fast Forward a few years to 2011, we bought a new (to us) house, woohoo!
Buh Bye Honey-Do list …
Errr, well not really it was more kinda of like uh oh!
There was so much to do I wanted to do to transform our house.
The list just keeps growing and growing!
So here we are plugging away out what seems to be our NEVER ending Honey-Do list, one eye roll project at a time!
We have created a new tab on our site so you can keep up with our Honey-Do list progress.
I thought it would be fun to see the projects that have been completed,
as well as those I can only DREAMof one day being done!Do you currently have a Honey-Do (dream list)?
I’d love to hear about it – let me know!-Jacque

Love your honey-do list! Our's is every growing. We are finally finishing up on our bedroom; however, Jon wants to rip out our master bathroom completely and do a california style closet to our walk-in. Oh, and he's finally starting on the garage next month–he needs a true working workshop! I could go on and on! lol.

I love that bathroom idea – seriously I want to GUT ours and start from scratch … I'm even considering blowing out some walls!

We close on our house at the end of June – so the honey do list upon move in is about to be insane! Glad you guys make it a team effort, its a lot of work for one person, and more fun to do it together 🙂

Ok, I'm digging the Honey Do list. Only problem around here I seem to always be the Honey that has to do. 🙂

Love this idea! It's a great way to keep yourself organized and you can always add/change things if you want to go in another direction! Totally super creative. I'll be keeping tabs on your progress for sure!
XOXO,
Rachel
