Woohoo we did it! Finally after 2 1/2 years Matt and I took a vacation!
We had been discussing it for a long time and then finally one Sunday night Matt found a cruise he wanted to take … so we booked it and two weeks later we drove to Tampa. Before we hopped a boat to Mexico, Matt promised me a quick trip to

This vacation couldn’t have started any better I was so excited!
Imagine if you will a Muppet when they celebrate hands thrown in the air yelling joyfully … This is what I did when I found out I got to go to IKEA and on a cruise all in the same day!
Our vacation was so rough.
Every morning we woke up to coffee on our balcony
(yes we brought our own creamer … no judging we are DIY’ers after all)
While we enjoyed fabulous surmise after fabulous sunrise
We took silly pictures of each other
They had mini golf on the boat … you know I couldn’t pass that up!
We tied … but only because I let him cheat!
Our first stop was Cozumel, Mexico.
Our excursion of choice was a ‘Dolphin Encounter’. I was very nervous about being in the water with such a big animal but it was so cool!
We got to hug, shake hands, get kissed, and kiss our dolphin Nautica. We were also supposed to feed her fish and squid but I politely declined a few times and they let Matt take my turn!
Win Win!
Check out the Dolphin in the middle her name is Olympia and she was 8 months pregnant in that picture … just jumping around like it was nothing! That’s a girl after my own heart.
When our encounter was over Matt and I walked to Downtown Cozumel did a little shopping and took some pictures.
Check out this wall, I believe I may have my next DIY project …
On second thought probably not but this is pretty awesome!
I could try and play this one off and say that I was reading a book, but since my glasses are laying next to my iPad I have to come clean. I fell asleep reading, and this was not the
first nor the last time it happened!
It was beyond excellent!
After a day at sea we docked in Costa Maya, Mexico we took a bus to “Downtown”.
Just a heads up every shop owner will proclaim their shop & prices are better than the guy before his and if you are really feeling froggy you can get a massage on the beach …
Let’s just say Matt and I passed on the shopping and massages and just walked the boulevard.
Cool thing about Costa Maya is that their downtown is beach front, man what a view!
Check out this gnarly tree!
Not sure I would trust this boat …
CHEESE!
Sorry for the delay in my postings I am still getting back into the swing of things.
We had a great time and more than anything it was a relaxing break from a very hectic past two years!
I can promise we won’t take 2 1/2 years to take our next vacation!

Oh yeah on the way home we made a quick stop at the IKEA in Atlanta …
(insert muppet happy dance)
